More Hawaii Week Fun!

That's Cam jammin'!
How low can you go? Danny loves to limbo!
Gotta love the feel of sand between your toes!
Max, Nolan and Brooklyn had a great time playing in the whale of balls.
Brooklyn! Her shirt says it all~~ "cute as a bug".

Hula Dancing!

This cracks me up!!! Our class was Hula dancing. Kaleigh really had the "coconut tree sway" move down, as did most of the others. Guess Danny doesn't care much for hula dancing! Too funny!

Waiting to hit the beach!

Our class listened to a story titled "Olvina Flies" about a chicken who takes a trip to Hawaii.

Up, Up and Away!

Hawaii week began with an imaginary plane trip. We had an "in flight" movie and snack.

Hawaii Week

It's time for a "winter warm-up". Hazel Dell Christian Preschool is having Hawaii Week. On Tuesday, Jan. 26th, our class will be "flying" to Hawaii to go to the beach! A room will be set up to look like Hawaii... complete with palm trees, sand and water. Instead of recess, we will be playing at the beach (indoor sand box) and going swimming (small inflated pool). Bring a bathing suit and towel (and a change of underwear, if necessary).

For snack we will pretend to be on a plane flying home. We will have an "on-flight" snack and beverage (pretzels and juice).

Thursday, Jan. 28th, we will spend another day in Hawaii. NO bathing suit or towel needed. Snack time will be our Luau! We will discuss and taste the different Hawaiian foods.

Look for a sign-up sheet. ALOHA!

Sliding to Preschool

Thursday morning found the roads covered in ice. Our classes were delayed by one hour and we had several students who didn't make the slipping, sliding trip. We missed you! Even though it was a short day, we had lots of fun. We made masterpieces which we painted with marbles. We also played with magnets, monkeys and the "aqua doodle". During snack time, we decided to have a picnic...like Jesus did when He fed the 5,000....except we were indoors instead of out... and we had Cheezits instead of bread and fish...and there were 5 children instead of 5,000... and we didn't collect left over food. So maybe it wasn't just like Jesus' picnic, but we did give thanks.

Best Wishes TO Sunny Florida

Miss Georgeanna and her husband are currently snowbirds in Florida. She will be there for the month of January. She has left us in very competent hands, as Miss Julie is filling in for her. Thanks Miss Julie for all your help!

Hope you're having a great time, Miss Georgeanna. Miss you! Tell Mickey Mouse "hello" for us!

January Birthdays!! Nolan & Kaleigh!

Happy 4th Birthday to Nolan!

Nolan's birthday was January 14. Nolan likes the Colts, Boise State and Purdue (...and according to Nolan, so does his dad).

Happy 4th Birthday to Kaleigh!

Kaleigh's birthday was January 18th. Doesn't this picture say it all??? She is adorable! Kaleigh's favorite color is purple.

Welcome Danny!

Welcome Danny! We are so pleased to have Danny join our class. Danny and his family just moved here from Illinois. He loves Kung Fu Panda. Danny is a fine young man. Welcome to our Hazel Dell family!

Kk is for King!

OUR ROYAL CLASS
Front (L to R): Emma, Nolan, Brooklyn, Ty, Ava, Jillian
Back: Max, Cam, Danny, Kaleigh, Alex
absent: Nicholas

Isn't this an adorable class? Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I did. It is good to be back with your kiddos! Our class is learning about the letter K this week. We made crowns and had to model them for you.

By the way... I did not send home with your child a bag of my trash. We made kick balls from old newspapers and grocery sacks. (I'm sure it's not one of those sentimental keepsake items from your child's preschool days, but we had fun playing with them!)
